BELIZE

Maya Mountain - Toledo District - Punta Gorda

These highly-coveted Maya Mountain cacao beans come from a network of 300+ smallholder farms in the Toledo District of Belize, the southernmost and least developed part of Belize. Many of the local farming families are of Mayan decent. Farmers here receive more than 125% of the West African commodity price for their cacao.

Maya Mountain cacao has been designated Heirloom Cacao by the Heirloom Preservation Project (HCP). It also has the distinction of being one of the top twenty cacaos in the world!
